I'm trying to get hold of a copy of "At Town Hall" (or, specifically, any album with a recording of Nina performing "Summertime") - with no success so far. So I wonder if you have any suggestions - perhaps recommended dealers you know of who are good at finding such things?

I heard this track last night which was cracking, it sounded a bit like a funky remix with some more electronic inserts than are usual in a Nina track which made me fear that it may be just a rare club sample.. 

I have just learnt that Ike and Tina Turner did a version of Funkier than a Mosquito's Tweeter so maybe Nina covered it. 

Can You help??!

Hello: Nina Simone gave a great performance in the newly built New Jersey Center for the Performing Arts. I was in the third row, and have written a brief review for a local newspaper; if you are interested in it, I can post it here. Ms. Simone seems slightly unhealthy; her walking is laboured, and she seemed fatigued. Her voice was for the most part fine; it was a beautiful reception, and one of the finest shows I have encountered.

I just read some of the recommendations wish lists and I was wondering  why you don't post the answers to these questions because I too have  the same feelings. I would like to know where to start. I have been  listening to my bosses version of the Verve Jazzmasters Nina Simone CD  and I want some of my own. Could you suggest some of the very best  compilations for adding to my CD collection. I too am a malnourished  college student without the money to buy 7 or 8 CD's. I need the best.

I have been trying for some time to find a GOOD copy of the album "Nina At Newport" located at the link below.  I've about given up. Can you suggest a source for this item? 

 I am having a little trouble tracking down a Nina recording and wondered if anyone  could help 

I have a tape I bought in Singapore in the late 1970's and it has all of the "Here Comes The Sun" LP plus part of "It Is Finished". 

It also had a number of songs from an album it calls "This Is Nina Simone". 

I have spent a while trying to track this recording down using the Nina web site and can only come up with something called "USA, 1975 Live Session" 

But what I understand is that this was never recorded so what do I have. The reason I am trying to find this is that my tape is getting old and 
needs replacing thus the request earlier on how to get a copy of "It Is Finished" 

Any help though on this one would be appreciated

I'm interested in getting the music for the song " Wild is the wind" 
my name is Ori Kaplan , Im a Jazz musician Alto Sax player in NYC . Im playing 
nowdays in the Texaco Jazz Festival here in the city. And regularaly in jazz 
clubs a round with my Trio. 
I love the Nina Simon version of" Wild..... " and would like to arrange it for 
a large ansamble .
