I primi 4 contengono i canali C, M, Y, K in alta risoluzione.

Desktop Color Separation (DCS) is an enhancement to the Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) graphic file format. DCS has the ability to manage the entire color separation process on the desktop, reducing production time, and can be implemented without purchasing additional specialized equipment. DCS files describe a pre-separated image using one or more files when adhering to DCS Specification 2.0, or five files when adhering to DCS Specification 1.0. All DCS files include a main EPS file that contains comments specifying the filename and location of the image’s high-resolution separation files. You can import, crop, and resize an image saved as a DCS file in a page layout application.

There are two types of applications involved in DCS: DCS Producers and DCS Consumers. DCS Producer applications produce color separations from bitmap images and paint applications capable of working with EPS separation files (e.g., Adobe Photoshop). DCS Consumer applications are desktop publishing and page layout applications (e.g., Adobe PageMaker, QuarkXPress). When you print separations of a document containing a DCS file, the DCS Consumer application locates and prints the high-resolution separation files.

  • Option to create multiple- or single-file DCS files
  • Pointing to separation files that reside on a non-local file system
  • Ability to specify additional separation files
  • More capable “%%PlateFile” comment
  • Specifying Non-Printing Separations
  • Suppressing Dot Gain Compensation
